Ẹ káàbọ̀!
I’m Foluso, a native Yorùbá speaker based in Lagos, Nigeria. Hearing people speak Yorùbá gives me great joy and a strong sense of belonging. I am passionate about helping learners communicate clearly and confidently through structured, personalized, and conversation-focused lessons.
Outside teaching, I enjoy cooking, music (both singing and listening), exploring DIY projects, and seeing the world through a traveler’s lens.我的教學經歷
With over 30 years of daily use of the Yorùbá language and 5 years of teaching experience. I create personalized lessons based on each student’s goals, learning style, and pace, using clear communication and active listening. Whether you’re learning Yoruba for personal interest, academic research, or educational purposes.
I teach both adults and children, using age-appropriate, and goal-focused materials to make learning Yoruba enjoyable and effective. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons cover a wide range of topics in Yorùbá, including the alphabet, numbers, everyday conversations, parts of speech, practical scenarios (like market shopping, workplace interactions, or meeting new people), aspects of Yorùbá culture, and most importantly, greetings!
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, goals, level of fluency (from beginner to advanced), and preferred learning style. I use a variety of methods, including active listening, relatable conversations and examples, writing, and songs, to make learning effective and engaging.
I love chatting and meeting new people, so you can expect our classes to be fun, interactive, and full of conversation.我的教材

The class is actually for my kids, and my evaluation of the class overall was excellent. My kids were kept engaged and practiced what they learnt every day after ever class. The homework/assignments reenforced the lessons from their class. My kids are so excited to be in her class, and they tell their friends and my adult friends about what they are learning and speaking it ever opportunity they get. I am really impressed with the amount they have learnt within a short amount of time. Ms. Olabisi is a very good teacher, using different tools such as homework, videos and songs to re-enforce the language learning for the kids. I would recommend her to anyone; "she makes learning Yoruba very fun and exciting!!!!!!!! "(According to my kids) upon my review I second that recommendation.
