Still here after all these years! As you can see from the number of lessons I have had with Youhei-san, he is a wonderful teacher. He has taken me from a total beginner to someone who can have a conversation and understand podcasts. I hope to continue working with him for many years to come.

It's been just over two years of lessons with Yohei-sensei and he's managed to single handled take me to the point where I can understand so much more than I ever dreamed I could! I only wish I'd have started the lessons sooner - so don't hesitate, he's so friendly and supportive - commit to his lessons and you'll be on the best track to Japanese fluency quicker than you think.

Really impressed with Yohei sensei! He's really patient and lets me struggle and make mistakes. He uses Google Docs and writes a list of all the correct ways to say what I want to say, along with the wrong way. I feel like I got a lot out of our lesson with all the new words to learn and review. Thank you!

If you're reading this, you are likely in the same situation I was -- finding it suspicious that every teacher on this site has five stars and 100% attendance. 洋平先生 stood out by having a higher ratio of lessons per student, indicative of many repeat lessons. And now, over two years later I'm proof of that ratio, myself being engaged in regular lessons still. 洋平先生 is patient, easygoing, and beginner friendly. Having limited free time, I'm learning casually at my own pace, and he accommodates. Learning Japanese is a long term goal, and if you're looking to approach it consistently and realistically, this teacher is a good choice.

Excellent lesson - while he had materials prepped and ready for a proper lesson he still let me just talk and practise the japanese I had learnt so far - this helped me relax after a difficult week and his corrections are so vital to preventing me from embedding mistakes I learnt from other places!

Youhei-sensei is a great teacher and his lesson is always fun.
