I am currently attending a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
This degree is helping me to expand my knowledge of neuroscience and language acquisition.

I am currently attending a BSc in Speech-Language Pathology (Speech Therapy).
In 1984 I started teaching English privately. Early in my career I was trained in the audiolingual method, and afterwards in the direct method at Berlitz. I also studied French, German and Italian using different methods. Later, I was trained in the Communicative Approach. All methods have strong points and weaknesses. Some techniques work better in a group and need to be adapted for individual lessons. Over the decades, over thousands of lessons and with the inspiration of ideas from psychology and applied linguistics, I have learned to blend different principles and techniques to overcome learning obstacles .我的課程內容與教學風格
I strongly believe a carefully structured pedagogical program, with clear stages and goals, makes a significant difference.
My courses prepare students for academic, professional and social endeavours. I use updated textbooks, produced by Cambridge and Oxford universities, in line with the latest trends in teaching methodology and exam preparation.
I offer the kind of language instruction one might expect to find in the best language schools in the world, but I do this individually, in a much more relaxing, highly supportive and customized manner.
I send students a test before their first lesson to determine their level, so that I can choose the most suitable book for their course.我的教材

Proficiency Translation Certificate CEFR 2 - Cambridge University UK - 1989This was an optional, additional part of the Cambridge Proficiency exam; it awarded an additional certificate in Translation from and into English (Portuguese<>English). It involved translating C2 level texts in English and Portuguese without recourse to dictionaries. Different language pairs were offered each year. Due to an utter lack of candidates for this additional part of the Proficiency exam, the translation exam was discontinued shortly after the turn of the millennium.
