Hello my name is Zelaida!
I’m from Xela, Guatemala – one of the most popular destinations in Central America for learning Spanish due to the easy to understand accent, tropical climate and prestigious Spanish schools.
I’m a professional Spanish teacher with experience teaching both children and adults. I hold a certificate in “Grammar in Spanish” and am studying further at university.
From my experience learning English, I understand that learning a new language is not easy, however with a positive mindset it is achievable and worth the effort to be able to communicate in another language.我的教學經歷
I am a qualified Spanish teacher with experience teaching both children and adults.
Currently, I am teaching Spanish at an dedicated language school in Xela, Guatemala. This has included teaching students from different backgrounds and ages. 我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is to adapt my lessons to the individual needs of each student. This ensures that individual learning styles and preferences are considered.
During my lessons, I like to focus on developing conversational fluency – through immersion techniques and practicing speaking and pronunciation. This includes discussing different everyday topics and completing fun and interactive activities.
At the end of each lesson, my students will have takeaway knowledge which they can practice in preparation for the next lesson. I also provide all my students with useful resources for practicing in between classes.

Diplomado Emprender con Exito - Ministerio de Educacion de Guatemala - 2019I completed 112 hours of studying which included classes, lectures and group projects and ended with an exam.

Curso Intensivo De Gramatica - Espanol - El Portal Spanish School - 2019I completed an intensive course in Spanish Grammar at El Portal Spanish School, Guatemala.
This was a 1.5 month course with 4 hours interactive classes daily (Monday - Friday). Afterwards I completed both a practical and written exam.

Maestra De Educacion Infantil Bilingue - El Ministerio de Educacion - Guatemala - 2018This certificate qualifies me as a professional school teacher for young children in Guatemala.
To obtain this certificate I had studied for 3 years at a college in Guatemala. The course included lectures, classes and an 4 month internship in a primary school in Xela, Guatemala.

Spanish Teacher / MaestraI am currently employed as a full time Spanish teacher at Miguel De Cervantes Spanish School in Xela (Quetzaltenango). I teach students from different backgrounds and ages 5 hours daily.
My experience has given be further work experience and allowed me to become a better teacher in the process.
2018 - 2019
Spanish Teacher / MaestraBefore being asked to join Miguel De Cervantes, I was a full time Spanish teacher at El Portal Spanish School. I taught classes to a variety of students of different backgrounds and ages for 4 - 5 hours daily.
