I am an energetic and enthusiastic 56 year-young Canadian man. Before I returned to English teaching, I was an accountant in the Canadian energy (oil & gas) industry. I graduated with a Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence (1992). I still love airplanes! 🛩

我的教學經歷

Please, DON'T request a lesson unless you are at least 17 and have B2 or higher in the CEF. If you don't send a personalized message, I will not accept your lesson request. I have eleven (11) years of English teaching experience, mostly with adults ESL learners. Nowadays, I am more focused on helping B2's, C1's, and C2's practice and improve their spoken English skills. Still, I enjoy working with any learners aged 17 and older. I DO NOT continue working with unmotivated students of any age: please DO NOT book lessons for children.

I think of myself as more of a coach than a teacher! Learning is much more important than teaching: my job is to motivate and encourage my learners to become more confident in themselves. I don't just 'teach' English! I help motivate students to learn English and to eventually teach themselves. My lessons are strongly student-centered. With me as your English coach, you will learn to become more self-directed and independent. Everyone should know learn how to think critically by asking: who, what, when, where, why, and how. 🙂

If you want to improve your English, Scott is the right man for you! I can speak with Scott about anything and he types my inaccuracies for me so I know how to get better. In addition, you can make his "worksheets" based on watching Ted videos. That way I also improve my English, learn new things about the world and also know a wonderful person!
