Writer, educator, conversationalist, storyteller, and image maker. My passions are language, culture and critical thinking.
I've lived in the Czech Republic, and spent time in Asia. I wrote for the Prague Business Journal and translation companies -- though my Czech is a bit rusty these days.
I hold a BA in Political Science and a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) -- a Cambridge teaching qualification.
As a generalist, I love diving into a wide range of topics, especially current events and cultural issues. My true passion is sharing stories about our adventures as humans on this planet.

I'm a coach and consultant for advanced English speakers who are well-beyond using textbooks. My passion is English, and specifically American English and culture -- the good, the bad, and the ugly. But I prefer to present the good, interesting, and useful. :)
I introduce critical thinking into the discussion. For instance, how to recognize bad actors, BS, propaganda, and grifts. :) We can explore logical fallacies and debunk myths and conspiracies.
You are an experienced adult who engages in life-long learning who also has a passion for English. :) You can't wait to talk. You are full of questions. You WANT to speak English.

My classes are conversational. I share a library of textbooks -- at no cost -- for use in Google Notebook LM to create dialogues, activities, lessons, and podcasts.
You'll develop strategies to respond quickly and appropriately, and how to maintain a conversation, in any situation.
My students are professionals who regularly engage with native English speakers through travel or work.
I guide you towards a plan you can use in self-study or with other teachers. We'll talk about any topic that interests you.
I am not a substitute for self-study, but rather a complement. If you are not engaging in English every day, I'm probably not what you're looking for.我的教材
