Franco is the loveliest teacher I’ve ever had, I feel so lucky to have found him as my Italian teacher. He is not only a great teacher but an incredible person. I usually get nervous before I take lessons or classes for anything but I never feel that way before my lessons with him. He is so great at making you feel comfortable and inspires motivation and an eagerness to keep learning. He is also exceptional at making it feel fun and interesting to learn, unlike language classes at school often feel. Lessons with him always feel like I’m talking to a friend and I just so happen to also be learning a new language while doing so! I highly recommend to take lessons with him, I plan to do so for as long as he teaches! Grazie mille Franco!

Franco is a gem. Since he is a translator by profession, he is able to offer a linguistic perspective when sustaining conversation and explaining concepts. He is also worldly and learned.

Franco makes every lesson relevant to what I'm doing. It becomes part of my life. He suggested I write a journal in italian so it makes me think of my day and what I did and how I can say and write it in Italian!

Franco is so informative. I am trying to literally translate sentences and he provides context and alternatives. I learned "posso dare un'occhiata? and sopratutto, conjugation of esigere - to demand, including esatto for past tense. Use of Transcorrere, stare versus passare. Amare is used in a romantic tense. To say to really like something instead use" a me piace molto." We talked about reflexive verbs: io mi sto divertendo. Io mi diverto. Tu ti sei divertito? And this was in only 30 minutes!

Today my camera did not work so Franco was not able to see me but I could see him. He was still so on top of the lesson and patient and calm. I was a little stressed since I knew he could not see me and I would not want to miss out on seeing him!
