Hello! I’m Abbie, and I live in Sunderland in the North East of England. I’ve been teaching English since 2018 and have experience working with both adults and children. Teaching is my passion, and I love seeing my students grow in confidence and skill.
Outside of work, I’m a big fan of travelling! I’ve explored places like China, Japan, South Korea, the USA, and Italy (just to name a few), and I’m always eager to discover new cultures. I also love spending time with friends, watching movies, hiking, and listening to political podcasts.

I’m a TEFL and CELTA qualified teacher, which means I use professional techniques to help you learn English more effectively and efficiently. I also hold an undergraduate degree and a master’s in Business and Marketing, with 8 years of experience working in business.
I’ve worked with university students, adults, and children. Teaching is my true passion, and I love connecting with people from all over the world. Not only do I get to help you improve your English, but I also learn about your culture along the way.

I believe in creating a relaxed and supportive environment where my students feel comfortable and confident. In our first lesson, we’ll take the time to get to know each other, and I’ll learn about your goals so I can tailor lessons to suit your needs.
I focus on making lessons engaging and varied to keep things interesting, and I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes. Remember, mistakes are a vital part of the learning process, and they’ll help you improve!
