Hi there! My name is Oriana, I am Italian but I live in Palma de Mallorca since 2017. Here I work and I'm also involved in different activities of 'Es Racó de Ses Idees', a school of philosophy and volunteering. I help in the communication team and I also participate in social, cultural and environmental projects. I have a degree in Philosophy and a great passion for traveling. That’s why I have been living in different countries, like Sweden, Lithuania and now Spain. Teaching online for me is a bit like traveling, since it allows me to meet people from different cultures, eager to share ideas, traditions and opinions with me.

我的教學經歷

I'm a certified Italian teacher for foreigners and I started with private lessons both online and in presence. So far, my students have expressed satisfaction about my lessons, because I'm flexible in my schedule and very focused on their goals. In my lessons, I follow an inductive methodology, which means that, as a guide in the learning process of the students, I help them to discover by themselves the rules that govern the various linguistic aspects. I think that this methodology is much more effective than other more traditional methods, since it allows better internalize what has been learned.

My method is preferably communicative, since I believe that the best way of learning a language is to practice it. However, I customize my teaching method according to the needs and the goals of every single student. I can propose a teaching plan oriented to a specific Italian exam or to improve the conversation skills, and so on. I usually start form an input, which can be a text, an audio or a video, better if authentic. In this input there are one or more aspects of the Italian language that I want my student to learn and understand. We will do conversation and exercises about the topic, and I will be as a guide for the student during the learning process.

2015 - 2016

VolunteerNational Institute for Social Integration - Vilnius, 立陶宛The project I was involved in was called "Media for change" and it had the goal to fight against discrimination and the hate speech online. I was in charge of managing the social media and the web page of the NGO, recruiting news about minorities, integration policies, discrimination and hate speech. I also organized an international youth exchange called "Reporting diversity: an ethical representation of migrants and minorities".

2013 - 2015

JournalistQuotidiano di Sicilia - Catania, 義大利My job was verifying, selecting and organizing the news to publish in the newspaper. I was also in charge of editing the articles sent by the freelancers and of making my own investigations.

2017 - 2018

Pr and communication managerHundredrooms - Palma de Mallorca, 西班牙Hundredrooms was a meta-search engine of touristic apartments. Here I had several tasks, such as creating press releases about the company, sending them to press and institutions, recruiting new contacts, organizing events. All of that with the aim to promote Hundredrooms. The job required high organization skills, because I had to divide my time between the different tasks.

2018 - 2020

Marketing ManagerLogitravel - Palma de Mallorca, 西班牙I'm responsible for the Italian market and I manage all possible media to promote the company, such as social media, SEO, SEM, Display campaigns, SMS, mailing marketing. I constantly monitor the results in order to improve the campaigns' performances, if necessary.

2019 - 2020

Italian teacherPrivate classes of Italian - Palma de Mallorca, 西班牙With my students I do individual classes once a week. I always customized the classes according to their Italian level, their goals and feedback they give me after every class.
