I am a 27 year old native English speaker from South Africa. I am a fun, outspoken, energetic and easy going person with a friendly personality. I take great pride in my culture and I am entrenched by my religion. I am a strong, independent and driven young lady that loves a challenge and never gives up. The word impossible does not exist in my vocabulary.
I am TEFL certified, passionate about teaching and I love sharing my skills and my knowledge with others so that they can reach their full potential.
I am interested in arts, theater, photography and sports. I would love to one day travel the world and get to experience all the different and beautiful cultures out there.我的教學經歷
My being a friendly and easily approachable person makes it very easy for my students to feel comfortable in my classroom. It also makes it easy for them to feel free to ask questions and to make mistakes. I always give my students the freedom to make mistakes and then I correct them because in that way, they learn and they grow. I use a lot of TPR so that students can make sense of my words through my actions. I also use visuals because showing a picture facilitates easy learning and this has been a great way for my students to learn new vocabulary words. I am also big on encouragement. Constantly encouraging my students shows them that they are doing well and are making progress.我的課程內容與教學風格
I set my lessons in a way that they are relatable to my student so that they won't get bored and thus not be willing to participate, so each lesson is tailored according to an individual student's goals and needs.
I try to always introduce my students to new vocabulary words with which they read first and I correct pronunciation. I ask CCQs (Concept checking questions) to check the student's understanding of what is being taught. This has facilitated great learning and continues to do so. I also give students homework and sometimes I give them material prior to our lesson so that they can prepare.證書
TEFL Certificate - TEFL Professional Development Institute - 2019I was required to read pdf documents and watch YouTube videos about everything you need to know to teach ESL online.
I have knowledge of classroom managemt, learning strategies and international teaching. I have understanding of the different teaching methods and their application to meet diverse learner needs. I also have professional knowledge of English grammer and have the capability to educate language learners on such concepts in a relatable manner.

English TutorI was an English Tutor to pupils from grade R to grade 7. This will help me a lot because I am familiar with different people in a class situation and I know how to handle student's different attitudes and behaviour. I also learned that different teaching methods and teaching styles work for different people and I learned a lot about classroom management so that will help me manage my classes on italki.

I learnt to use TPR, visuals and appropriate learning material to help students learn English quicker and simpler.
