My name is Brandon, a native Spanish speaker. I’m 26 years old and I'm an Applied Mathematician, currently pursuing a Master's degree on AI. I’ve travelled to Spain, Colombia, Ecuador, Italy, Germany and many places in my home country, Mexico. I really enjoy learning languages; I speak English, Italian and Portuguese, and I’m learning French. If you want to talk with a native of the Spanish language that teaches you not only the formal of the language, but also the slang you need to communicate with people in everyday situations, chilling while you are learning, here you will find it. I really enjoy talking to people and sharing my culture; Mexican culture is full of history and it's one of the richest of the world. We'll always have a topic to talk about :) I have experience teaching Spanish to dozens of people from all around the world that I've met either on my trips or here on italki; in 2017 I did a volunteer in Germany that allowed me to practice this a lot. I really like to share what I know with people; that's the reason why I've been teaching Math, Physics, Spanish, English, etc., since 9 years ago. I'm learning French and I learned Eng, Ita and Por, so I know the difficulties you can face trying to learn a new language, and I can help you overcome them.

Our tutoring sessions will be mainly conversational: we'll have conversations about different topics of your interest, culture, music, science, sports, gastronomy, movies, history; the most important it's that we can talk about what you like because in that way it'll be easier to you to learn. However, if there are specific Spanish topics with which you have trouble or that you'd like to master or to learn, we can have one or more lessons dedicated exclusively to solve your doubts on those issues. A lot of people that I've taught say that I'm very good at, and that I'm very patient and friendly! Also, I always try to keep the conversation light and fun. So come join me, and let's learn! :)

I really enjoy my lessons with Brandon. As someone who only starting learning Spanish 5 months ago, the fact that I can have an hour long conversation in Spanish—without deciding on the topic of conversation beforehand—is really boosting my confidence. Brandon is really easy to talk to and engaging. I appreciate that he doesn't correct every small mistake I make, but he does correct the big ones (or the ones I make repeatedly). As well as learning Spanish, I'm also learning so much about Mexico from him; truly "dos pájaros de un tiro", to quote a phrase I learned today.
