My name is Ian, and I am originally from Canada. I have lived and travelled to countries all over the world. I have also had the chance to speak to so many interesting people from different cultures and backgrounds. When I am not teaching and travelling, I enjoy reading and watching films. Also, I try to stay in shape by playing sports and doing a bit of exercise.我的教學經歷
I am very friendly and approachable. I have been teaching for over 13 years, so I have seen most problems that students face in the classroom. Anything from difficulty remembering vocabulary, issues with grammar to dealing with motivation issues.

My lessons are student-centered. This means that my lessons are focused on the needs of the individual student. We will make a plan that suits you. Generally, most of the lesson will be spent speaking and building your vocabulary and improving your grammar. I am a relaxed person, and I believe that creating a relaxed environment allows the learner to reach their potential.我的教材

Business Communication FacilitatorHelping students better communicate in a professional environment. I conducted lessons on reading, writing, listening and speaking with a focus on language use in the workplace. Students were better prepared to write emails, reports, and proposals after completing my courses. Also, techniques, language, and practice was provided so that students could give amazing presentations and participate effectively in meetings in English.

English InstructorI taught in the Professional English Language Department and the College Preparatory Program at a major Saudi oil company for seven years. I was responsible for conducting classes related to Business English, exam preparation, and note taking.
2012 - 2013
English TeacherI was an English teacher where I conducted mainly 1-to-1 lessons. Most of my students were professionals and roughly half of the classes were Business English focused while the other half were General English.
2011 - 2012
English InstructorI was an instructor for a technical college. We provided trainees with basic English skills before they received technical training. I managed large classrooms and was responsible for administrative work as well as teaching responsibilities.
2007 - 2011
English TeacherI was an English teacher at a private language school. I taught all ages and levels. I was introduced to all types of classes here from Business English to exam preparation to English for Specific Purposes.
