I had an excellent trial lesson with Normandeau. Though it was scheduled for 30 minutes, he generously gave me a full hour. Even from the first message before having this session, he had shared a structured way to reach A1, a detailed layout how I can approach. His teaching style is structured, practical, and exceptionally supportive. He clearly explained the importance of starting to speak from day one, and provided a detailed study roadmap including verb conjugation across tenses, guided readings, and weekly homework especially before first official class. I appreciate his advice to aim for C1 to confidently achieve a solid B2 level, which aligns with my long-term goal of passing the TEF Canada exam. His words were realistic rather than idealistic to be ready to feel sometime overwhelmed in language learning. Highly recommended for motivated learners who want consistent progress and professional guidance.

He is incredibly patient, insightful, motivating, flexible, has a wonderful sense of humor, and intuitively understands and anticipates what the student needs to progress and improve. One of his many excellent methodologies is to empower the student to 'find another word' when a 'bloguer' (block) occurs so that learning, (although challenging) takes place in a comfortable and engaging manner. His group lessons are an extraordinary mix of fun, delightful cognitive exercises, interesting memorization techniques, and tons of sharing and learning French.

Francois was very patient and kind as I learned. If I didn't understand something or mispronounced something, he would gently correct me. He's also very easy to get along with and would be a great fit for anyone. Would highly recommend him!
