Matheus is an outstanding professor. His lessons are engaging, well-structured, and highly effective. He has an impressive ability to explain concepts clearly, making even the most challenging aspects easy to grasp. The fact that we can communicate in multiple languages (Portuguese, English, and French) adds a great level of flexibility and comfort to the lessons. I started with no prior knowledge of Portuguese, and after just a few classes, I was already able to hold simple conversations. His teaching approach is both encouraging and efficient. If you're still hesitating, I highly recommend booking a lesson with him—you won’t regret it!

Matheus is a natural teacher. He is very easy to talk to and sociable and makes it easy to talk about any topic for the duration of class. Matheus is knowledgeable in many languages which makes it easy to draw connections with languages you know, in my case with English and Spanish. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, you’re in good hands with Matheus.

Matheus is a great teacher - he is patient and gently corrects me in a way that doesn’t make me feel self-conscious. His English is strong, too, so he’s a good resource for when I don’t understand something in portuguese well enough. He’s also a cool and interesting guy! So it’s enjoyable talking with him. I highly recommend him!

Have had a few lessons with Matheus but so far it’s been a great experience! I have no issues communicating with him and understanding him. Looking forward to continue learning Brazilian Portugués with him!

I've taken a few courses with Matheus and he's been an excellent teacher so far. He's very friendly and easy going which makes it easy and not intimidating to speak and practice Portuguese for the entire class. He asks a lot of prompting questions and has a lot of interesting travel experience to draw from. More recently I noted some specific grammatical things I'd like to brush up on and he's provided more structured grammatical reviews and exercises which are very helpful. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn from Matheus.
