Hello! I’m James, a native English teacher with 10+ years of experience. I specialize in helping professionals and learners of all levels gain confidence through conversational English. Based in France, I speak French fluently and love connecting cultures—whether through language, cooking, or slow train travels across Europe. When I’m not teaching online, you’ll find me in classrooms or exploring tech and food (grammar geek at heart!). Before starting to teach English, I was a web developer for many years. I decided I wanted a change in 2010 and haven't looked back. When I finished my Celta in Paris, the centre hired me immediately and I stayed there for a couple of years before moving to the south-west.
Face-to-face, I mostly teach professionals in companies. I've helped people in large companies like EDF, Manpower, and SFR, in smaller companies and have also taught nurses for the Croix Rouge Française.我的課程內容與教學風格
I adapt my teaching to my students' learning. I like it when people are at ease in their lessons, so I favour a conversational approach which fosters confidence. The most important thing is that you get to speak so you can make mistakes and improve. I feel it's important to tackle the grammar occasionally (I secretly lovely a bit of grammar!), but I hope it's not like being at school again!我的教材

Today`s lesson was about travelling by the plane, the rules and expectations. We spoke about people's behavior and things that may annoy the passengers. A good conversation accompanied by good laugh!
