Hey, how's it going? My name's Catarina, I'm Brazilian and I live in Mogi Mirim, a small town in the São Paulo State, in the Southeast of Brazil. I'm 27 and I've been working as a professional Portuguese and English Teacher for 7 years.
Besides being passionate about learning and teaching foreign languages, I also like to study history, arts, philosophy, theology and music. I can't really play anything, but that's in my future plans. I love literature as well and I dream of writing a book someday.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, exploring random but interesting videos on YouTube and traveling to wherever fits in my budget.
我的教學經歷
I have a teaching degree from University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where I studied Portuguese. I also have a degree in English teaching and the CELTA Certificate by University of Cambridge. I've been learning English since I was 11, and teaching it since I was 16. I spent 5 months in Germany in 2017 and this experience abroad made me develop great intercultural skills - I love meeting students from all over the world and not just teaching them, but learning so much from them at the same time.
Throughout my career, I have taught kids, teenagers and adults, in English schools and at the university. Since 2020, I've been working exclusively with private online classes to adults (16+). 我的課程內容與教學風格
In my classes, I adapt or create personalized materials according to the needs and interests of each student. I generally focus on communicative and intercultural skills, working on some grammar points along the way. I like to use authentic materials (such as YouTube videos, movies, songs, podcasts, etc.) as much as possible, so you get in contact with the real-life language and culture.

Catarina é uma professora incrível ! I've been having classes with her for more than 6 months now and i cannot believe how far i've come in Portuguese. Catarina is not just a great teacher, but she is also fun to talk to. She prepares well for her lessons, has a plan and study materials ready, but she is also flexible and ready to discuss any topic that might come up.
