Hello! My name is Monica. I’m from Tokyo, Japan.
I have moved to US since 2016, and I have been actively tutoring Japanese since then.
I am also working in the fashion industry such as production, retail sales and wholesale in New York and Tokyo. I have many experiences coaching employees for the great customer service.
Please check out my 接客 lesson too! Love to teach interacting with the cutomers in both Japanese/ English in a positive happy way.
My hobby is also food ( of course! ), art and travel!

I want to encourage you to speak Japanese a lot! Making misatakes is a big step to move forward to get rid of your hesitation and motivete you speaking another language!
Main part of my lesson is conversation. I would like to know more about you and I want to help you to describe your thoughts in Japanese.
If you have any question I can help you in English as well. Also feel free to leave comments or ask anytime during the lesson.

I can correct you pronunciations since my accent is Neutral.
You can bring up any topics you want to discuss about or I can choose you the topics as well.

such an amazing teacher and fun and interesting lessons!! i can’t believe how fast i’m learning and monica san is very helpful and encouraging every time!! i most definitely recommend her class to anyone and everyone, she’s very flexible and patient and i’m looking forward to more lessons!! :)

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Monica! It was fun talking about different topics, and she was very patient. I'd love to use more Japanese next time in our conversation. I look forward to future lessons with her :-)
