¡Hola a todos!
I'm a Dominican native Spanish speaker and certified ELE teacher with over 5 years of experience. I study Psychology, which helps me understand how each student learns and how to boost their confidence when speaking. I’m passionate about languages, I speak English, French, and some Mandarin which allows me to not only better connect with my students but also to understand their challenges learning my language.
I always seek to improve my teaching by taking courses and exploring new methods that make learning more effective and engaging. My goal is to help you be fluent and feel comfortable speaking Spanish through personalized and structured lessons.

In my lessons, I combine natural conversation with authentic materials such as articles, audio, and images. We work on all four language skills—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—in a balanced way. Each class is tailored to your needs and interests, with clear and useful feedback to help you improve confidently and fluently.

On travaille les quatre compétences linguistiques (parler, écouter, lire, écrire) de manière équilibrée. I cannot say enough good things about Ivan! He’s a fantastic teacher, very patient, and is able to cater to your current skill level. Before I started lessons with him, my speaking skills were non-existent and now in a month, I have been able to piece together sentences comfortably. I know that in no time I will be able to become conversational in Spanish, with his help! His lessons are a mixture of structure and conversation. Personally, I love this because it allows me to link what I am learning into an every day scenario/situation. I highly recommend him!

Ivan is a great tutor. His teaching style very patient, attentive and reassuring. I like the fact that he corrects and provides explanations to me in Spanish (and English if necessary lol) which helps me improve my listening and comprehension. I am looking forward to continuing lessons with him.
