Roberto

I started learning Italian with Roberto back in September 2021 as a complete beginner. Between then and June 2022 I had 90 lessons, at which point I sat the CELI and PLIDA B1 level exams (the level required for citizenship). I felt well prepared for the exams and passed both with really great marks. Roberto is a truly excellent tutor which is reflected in the number of lessons I required to reach B1 level (and I'm certainly not a natural linguist). Another key indicator of the quality of the lessons he provides is the ratio of students to lessons- I've yet to see another tutor with an average of over 20 lessons per student (i.e, students keep going back!). I'd have no hesitation recommending Roberto to anyone wanting to learn Italian!

Roberto is a great teacher. He is always well prepared and we have a lot of fun during our lessons. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their Italian!

Roberto is a highly qualified teacher - the best language teacher I have had thus far. Unlike many others offering lessons, he is truly qualified to teach Italian and clearly very experienced in doing so. Roberto uses advanced didactics to ensure the most efficient use of a student's time. Thanks to him I have made fast progress in Italian.

I am very, very happy with my progress with Roberto. I feel more and more comfortable sustaining a long conversation in Italian. His teaching method is excellent, the right mix of free-form conversation and grammar. Highly recommend him !

I'm writing this review for people who are still beginning their journey in learning the Italian language. You will not regret getting Roberto as your teacher. We met 2 years ago when I barely spoke any Italian, after 2-3 lessons with him it was obvious that I needed more context on how to even make simple sentences in Italian. He then gave me a book called "Grammatica in contesto". I studied this almost everyday for 18 months, at this point in time I had gotten myself to B1-B2 level but I needed more tutoring to improve on areas that I lacked(how to talk more natural, grammar, how to use the correct prepositions, my writing, pronouns etc). I contacted Roberto again and this time we worked together for 4 months(20 lessons or so) to fine tune my Italian and to prepare me for the CILS B1 exam. I'm happy to say I passed that test with flying colors! To Roberto, I cannot thank you enough. Your passion for teaching is very obvious. Continue helping other people reach their goals!
