Hi! I’m an experienced English teacher from Cape Town, South Africa, now living in the beautiful coastal town of Plettenberg Bay with my husband, daughter and three dogs. I’ve always had a passion for the English language—especially grammar and clear, effective communication. I enjoy reading, exploring the countryside, and learning about different cultures. Having lived in many parts of South Africa, I’ve connected with people from all walks of life. I bring that same curiosity and energy into every conversation, especially in professional and everyday settings.

My responsibilities included teaching the entire English syllabus to these grades, and the classes ranged from 12 - 43 learners, which makes me more than equipped to handle one on one and small class English lessons online. My areas of English include: grammar, vocabulary, literature, reading, writing, listening and speaking.

2017 - 2020
Lodge managerI run a successful four star guest lodge, where my duties range from dealing with different types of guests and their requests, basic bookkeeping and accounting, staff management, day to day lodge duties, check in and out of guests, reservations, guest and staff disputes, etc. This experience not only gives me insight in how to manage people and personalities in different situations, but it also allows me to teach English specific to the Tourism industry.

Chelsea is an excellent teacher!!! Chelsea and I have been working together for about one year and I always really enjoy our lessons a lot! She is always prepared perfectly, very positive, very professional and very, very friendly. The lessons with Chelsea are always wonderful, because they are fun, engaging, and informative. I'm a language teacher myself so I feel qualified to judge her teaching ability. She is very supportive, kind, patient and helpful!!
