I was born in the United Kingdom and worked in Business before coming to Ecuador for a climbing holiday. I fell in love with this country and decided it was time for a career change. I retrained as a teacher and have been teaching English and Business. I am now working as an independent educator teaching online and have taught students in over 58 countries. When I am not working I go to the mountains, mountain biking and visiting different places in Ecuador
I have been teaching for over 16 years and have experience of working in a range of educational establishments. I am a Cambridge Oral examiner for their international exams ( A2-C1) and have experience of preparing students for these exams. I have extensive experience of preparing students for IELTS exams and teaching students online, particularly the speaking and writing components of the exams. Finally, I am an IB examiner and have taught Business Management, English B and the Theory of Knowledge.
The main aim is to give my students a personalised class which will help them achieve their long term objectives especially if they are preparing for exams. During classes, I will give students constructive feedback and give recommendations as to how to improve their English. I can also support students in developing your writing skills for example essays and emails.

Masters ( Education) - University of Nottingham - 2017This was a 2 year program and I has to write a number of assignments and a final tesis. I focused on the role of personal development programs in school and undertook research in secondary schools in Ecuador.

ESOL - CAE (Advanced English ) - University of Cambridge - 2014This certificate was awarded in 2014 and shows that I am able to grade candidates who are taking the Cambridge International exams at CAE ( Advanced Level). I also have have been trained to exam from A2 through to C1 level.

It was my second lesson with Lucy. She analyzed my essay, corrected the mistakes and provided detailed feedback. I have got a lot of tips how to use proper structure for the composition and improve my writing. Her answers on my questions were clear and concise. I really enjoyed the energy of the lesson, in my opinion, it is because of highly effective teaching style of Lucy. I plan to continue my writing classes with Lucy.

It was very useful lesson for me. We discussed some topics in the beginning of the lesson and Lucy checked my writing in the second part of the lesson. I got a lot of pieces of advice on how to write an essay and what to improve in my work. I am really grateful to Lucy for her patience and support.
