Hey! My name is Anya and I'm from San Francisco, California. I love studying languages and currently speak English and Spanish fluently, and a bit of French and Arabic. I love learning languages because they help me connect with people through conversation. Besides languages, I also enjoy painting, singing, boxing and cooking.

Our minds all work in unique ways. As a teacher, I believe in listening and learning from each of my students and adjusting my classes to fit their needs. I usually base my lessons on conversation and gradually expand to new topics and time frames as we progress. I also enjoy incorporating storytelling and other creative practices.

My classes incorporate storytelling, games, conversations, reading practice, pronunciation practice, writing practice, conjugation, vocabulary, and images for description practice. I usually take notes on a shared Google doc with students to ensure they can keep track of what we covered in each lesson.
Mis clases incluyen narración de historias, juegos, conversaciones, práctica de lectura, práctica de pronunciación, práctica de escritura, conjugación, vocabulario e imágenes para practicar la descripción. La profesora es excelente. Explica los conceptos de forma muy clara y adaptada a tu nivel, haciendo que incluso los temas más difíciles se entiendan con facilidad. Utiliza métodos muy dinámicos en clase, combinando historias, juegos y repaso de materiales, lo que hace que las sesiones sean entretenidas y efectivas.
Además, se nota que se preocupa por el progreso del alumno, corrige con detalle y da feedback útil para mejorar. Las clases están bien estructuradas y siempre aprovecha el tiempo al máximo.
Sin duda, una profesora muy recomendable si quieres aprender de verdad y avanzar con confianza.

Amanda is a very kind and patient teacher. She is also very fun, so the class feels relaxed and comfortable. She helps you speak without fear and corrects mistakes in a friendly way. I really enjoyed the lesson with her.
