Hi! I am Nick or Nikita. I am a native Russian speaker and I am fluent in English and German. I am a self-taught learner of Italian, Portuguese, and Serbian-Croatian. 🤓
During my university years, I studied international relations and management, and I am passionate about culture and history.
I am an enthusiastic traveler and have had the opportunity to explore 27 countries around the world. 🌍 I love meeting new people and learning about their cultures and history.
Fitness and cooking are also my passions. 💪 I believe that physical activity is essential for both our physical and mental well-being. I can cook anything, from teriyaki chicken to desserts. I used to be a chocolate maker.🍫我的教學經歷
I have a flexible teaching style that incorporates immersion in the language environment through live dialogues and grammar explanations. I actively engage you in conversations covering a wide range of topics to expedite the learning process, deepen your understanding of the language, and foster critical thinking skills.
I am continuously learning myself, and I firmly believe that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning journey.
I have strong empathy and diplomacy, am an open-minded individual, and am eager to share my experiences and engaging stories, all of which aid in expanding your knowledge and honing your question-asking skills.

I usually use the Dogme teaching style. We don't rely on textbooks; instead, we focus on talking directly. We discuss current topics and have live conversations, which encourage you to use specific words and grammar. These lessons can be a bit unpredictable because the material comes up as we go along.
I love teaching, and I've created a free online project for learning Russian called #Russian_with_Nick on Instagram and Substack, which I also use in my lessons.我的教材

Nikita’s a fantastic teacher + tutor. His classes are well-organised but have a casual and supportive atmosphere. The material for review is always relevant and engaging and even funny (modern conversational Russian!!), and he really does adapt the content to my own strengths and weaknesses.
*Very* personable too –– it feels like I’m learning Russian from a friend or a neighbour or a World of Tanks clan mate (lol). I’m looking forward to our next classes, and excited to continue my learning journey with Nik :)

I had a great first lesson with Nick. We had a brief introduction discussion, and he corrected and taught me new words/grammar via a shared Google document. We did some reading practice afterwards, and then Nick provided feedback for our next lessons. Looking forward to my future lessons -- спасибо большое!
