Hello! My name is Katharine. Nice to meet you! Originally from the United States, I have four years of experience teaching English to students online and three years of experience teaching English in person to individuals and groups in Argentina, Spain and Japan. I speak Spanish and Japanese. Language, culture and travel are my passions, and I hope to share them with you. See you in class!我的教學經歷
I am a lifelong learner of foreign languages, so I understand what it feels like to learn a foreign language. I know just how hard it is to gain confidence in your non-native languages, so the focus of my lessons is on building confidence and motivation. If you have confidence and motivation, nothing can hold you back!
*Puedo ayudarte también en idioma español en caso de ser necesario, aunque procuro llevar a cabo mis clases solamente en inglés dentro de lo posible para asegurar que el alumno pueda sacar el mejor provecho de la clase.

I offer two main types of lessons: English Conversation, and structured lessons. All lessons emphasize speaking and conversational skills, but the teaching style and materials used will be somewhat different.
1. English Conversation. These lessons focus on speaking in thematic lessons adapted to your needs and learning style. Lessons may consist of reading and discussing articles, short videos, discussion questions, speaking activities, and more.
2. English for Beginners/Intermediate/Advanced learners. In these lessons, we will use a textbook and/or lesson slides to work on the four skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), focusing mainly on the areas you need the most.我的教材

Always a fun lesson. We normally discussed various topics from video materials she sent me and I watched before our lesson. She is friendly and has great speaking and listening techniques that help and improve my English skills in many ways. She used the text chat to correct my English mistakes and didn't slow down or interrupt our conversation while she was typing so I could easily focus on a natural conversation with her even if I made mistakes. Although I’ve only taken 30-minute lessons, we've talked about many things in each lesson that make me feel like more than 30 minutes have passed. I’m so satisfied with our lessons. Thank you so much!
