I've been studying with Perla for years now -- she's an amazing teacher! She's always happy to structure class in a new way when I want to try a new learning method, and when class is less structured, she's an amazingly patient and encouraging conversation partner. I learn so much just by having conversations about interesting topics with Perla, and she's such an intuitive and empathetic communicator that we were able to have lots of meaningful discussions even when I started with a pretty low level of Spanish ability. I really can't recommend her enough!

I really enjoyed the lesson. Perla corrects my mistakes in a way that does not interrupt the flow of our conversation. The one-hour session format allows enough time for a little every day chit-chat followed by discussion of a particular topic. She lets me choose a topic, but also has suggestions if I can't think of anything.

Perla is an amazing conversation partner. She knows how to talk, she knows how to listen. Time flies by with her and there are no awkward moments. In fact it's the opposite. It seems like there's never enough time.

I really love lessons with Perla for her intelligence and interesting questions that make you think. she also really encourages me, so it feels sometimes that it is easier to speak Spanish

This was my first class with Perla. She was great. We had a pleasant, comfortable conversation. She was very patient with my beginner Spaniish and provided helpful corrections and provided words and phrases i needed. Perla does not speak English so she may not be the right choice for an absolute beginner, but we had a great class. I highly recommend Perla.
