Kia ora! Ko Amelia ahau. I'm Amelia and I am an Indigenous Māori woman from Aotearoa New Zealand. I currently live on the lands of the Chickasaw Nation (Memphis, TN) on Turtle Island (USA) and teach Māori language, performing arts and culture to learners living in the USA and globally through my organization Learn Māori Abroad. My tribal affiliations (iwi) are Ngātiwai, Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Awa. I look forward to partnering with you on your te reo Māori journey!

I have been teaching for many years and love to share my culture and language with students! Teaching te reo Māori and Māori culture is my life's work and passion.我的課程內容與教學風格
I customize my lessons to my students needs. I also created my own Māori language curriculum which I use with my students. I usually give my students homework to work on outside of class. I recommend students engage with te reo Māori as much as possible. I have many resources I can offer to students so they can do this.我的教材
