Hallo, Ich heiße Lea! I am a native Korean speaker. I have a MA degree in Aesthetics from Seoul National University and have a lot of work experience in Korean writing. Over the past 10 years, I've published many essays as a drama and cartoon critic. I also taught Korean writing for middle school students and high school students; worked as a journalist at a university newspaper, and edited undergraduate writings in college. Such rich experience proves that I can teach you not only in daily conversation, but also using the topics whatever you want, from arts, humanities, culture, and popular culture, to history, politics, current affairs, and discussions, etc. at your desired level!我的教學經歷
I have many advantages as a tutor: positive personality, open mind, interests in other cultures, passion, and so on. But here, I want to emphasize two things.
First, I've learned English and German conversation with online tutoring. I've met a lot of tutors, and because I am also a student like you, I already know when you're having fun and when you're struggling in online tutoring. Second, I have so many materials for our conversations. I enjoy reading Korean novels, movies, and webtoons, and I know a lot of K-pops and even older popular songs. Whether you want to practice daily conversation, or you need to practice Korean intensively for forthcoming travel, or you prepare for exams such as TOPIK, my classes will proceed following your request.
Basically, my teaching style is as follows. From beginner to intermediate, if we take a 1-hour class, we will warm-up in the first 10 minutes; I mean, we will greet and small-talk. Next 20 minutes, I will teach you basic grammar, vocabulary, expressions, and pronunciations according to each day's goal. And finally, we will have a conversation for around 30 minutes, focusing on that content. If you are advanced level, we can have a more profound discussion based on your interests.我的教材

Soo-hyang is a really kind, energetic teacher! I am taking lessons to prepare to attend my friend’s wedding in Korea, so I learned a lot about Korean wedding culture and words and comments to use at weddings. I really enjoyed the lesson and I look forward to taking another class and slowly improving my speaking skills!
