I’m Jahdai—your Spanish and English instructor, coach, and fellow language learner! Born and raised in Guanajuato, I bring a blend of Mexican roots and global fluency. I speak English, French, German, some Portuguese, and even Japanese!
As a traveler who’s explored Mexico’s taco stands, ancient pyramids 🏜️, and parts of the U.S., I teach Spanish and English through culture and grammar. Whether you need help with grammar, pronunciation, casual conversations, or business phrases for work, I’ve got you covered.

English tutorI helped several fellow students with their English classes by offering personalized tutoring and coaching, especially for those preparing for the TOEFL exam. I also assisted classmates in studying for their midterm and final exams, creating tailored study plans and practice exercises to boost their confidence and results. Through this experience, I developed strong communication and teaching skills, learned how to adapt explanations to different learning styles, and gained a passion for helping

Community TutorI have been teaching and coaching students in Spanish and English on iTalki, a role that has grown into my true passion. Every day, I tailor my approach by employing diverse methodologies and strategies to meet each student’s unique needs and learning style. Currently, I am developing an online phonetics course to deepen my expertise and provide even more effective support, especially in helping students master pronunciation with confidence.

During my time at university, I developed several skills that helped me understand how to improve processes, learned about management systems, efficient process development, and time management. Mechanic assistantI worked as a mechanic assistant at a car shop, where I learned to work with my hands using precision, strength, and patience. This hands-on experience taught me to solve problems quickly, pay close attention to details, and handle tough situations with confidence. It built a strong work ethic and made me comfortable tackling any hands-on task.
2014 - 2019
Sales manI worked as a salesman selling home decor and furniture, gaining valuable experience that strengthened my communication skills. This job also gave me the opportunity to travel throughout Mexico, exposing me to diverse people and cultures that helped me grow personally and professionally.
2018 - 2021
EntrepeneurFor three years, I co-managed a small manufacturing business alongside my wife, overseeing daily operations and leading a team of over 20 employees. Our company specialized in producing high-quality decorative products crafted from resin and ceramic. In this role, I was responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing supply chains, and ensuring product quality, all while fostering a motivated and efficient work environment. This experience sharpened my leadership and problem-solving.

I've been taking lessons with Jahdai for about a year, and he's always very patient and at the same time pushes me to go outside my comfort zone so I can learn better. He's very good at introducing new vocabulary and grammatical concepts and then explaining them in a way that makes them easy to understand.

Hello Spanish learners! You can stop searching for your tutor right here. Jahdai is a fantastic teacher! I've taken many classes with him so far and my level of understanding and ability to converse have skyrocketed since i started studying with him. He's a language learning enthusiast so he really connects with students and understands their process of learning. He has near-native English so there's no lack of clear explanations that I need when I struggle with a difficult concept or gramatical construct. He's very patient and makes his classes enjoyable. Jahdai is not my first Spanish tutor but he will be my last! Do yourself a favor and book a lesson with Jahdai today!

He tomado más de 75 horas de clases con Jahdai, y continuaré porque me lo paso muy bien y mi español está mejorando cada mes—si hubiera seleccionado un profe diferente, no puedo imaginar que habría llegado tan lejos. Jahdai also speaks English beautifully (he teaches English too). If you want to improve your Spanish and have delightful conversations along the way, he’s the teacher for you.
