I’m Jahdai, a passionate pronunciation and grammar specialist with over 13,300+ lessons teaching English and Spanish to students from all walks of life. Born and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico, I bring authentic cultural insight to every lesson.
As a polyglot, fluent in English, French, German, some Portuguese, and even Japanese, I understand the nuances of language learning and love sharing practical tips to help my students speak confidently and naturally.

English tutorI helped several fellow students with their English classes by offering personalized tutoring and coaching, especially for those preparing for the TOEFL exam. I also assisted classmates in studying for their midterm and final exams, creating tailored study plans and practice exercises to boost their confidence and results. Through this experience, I developed strong communication and teaching skills, learned how to adapt explanations to different learning styles, and gained a passion for helping

Community TutorI have been teaching and coaching students in Spanish and English on iTalki, a role that has grown into my true passion. Every day, I tailor my approach by employing diverse methodologies and strategies to meet each student’s unique needs and learning style. Sales manI worked as a salesman selling home decor and furniture, gaining valuable experience that strengthened my communication skills. This job also gave me the opportunity to travel throughout Mexico, exposing me to diverse people and cultures that helped me grow personally and professionally.
2018 - 2021
EntrepeneurFor three years, I co-managed a small manufacturing business alongside my wife, overseeing daily operations and leading a team of over 20 employees. Our company specialized in producing high-quality decorative products crafted from resin and ceramic. In this role, I was responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing supply chains, and ensuring product quality, all while fostering a motivated and efficient work environment. This experience sharpened my leadership and problem-solving.

Superb, highly-experienced teacher. Great conversationalist. I have enjoyed more than 100 classes with Jahdai for over 2 years. We never know where the conversation is going to go, but it is always is a good time. The other thing is Jahdai always shows up to class without last minute cancellations (a very common problem with many other teachers on iTalki!) Hello Spanish learners! You can stop searching for your tutor right here. Jahdai is a fantastic teacher! I've taken many classes with him so far and my level of understanding and ability to converse have skyrocketed since i started studying with him. He's a language learning enthusiast so he really connects with students and understands their process of learning. He has near-native English so there's no lack of clear explanations that I need when I struggle with a difficult concept or gramatical construct. He's very patient and makes his classes enjoyable. Such a fantastic introduction lesson! Jahdai came prepared from our quick chat in the days before the lesson, and picked up on my knowledge level immediately. He ran through a few practice exercises to show me what future lessons would be like, with some translation practice in the middle, and then finished up with homework to take away. I am really looking forward to my next spanish lesson. Cheers!
