Looking to improve your Spanish or English? Hi, I’m Felipe. I’m a TEFL-certified teacher with over four years of experience. I focus on helping students communicate confidently through practical and engaging conversations. My international experience abroad showed me how language connects people and cultures, and I bring that perspective into every class. Outside of teaching, I enjoy science fiction, biotechnology, and data science. I’m an engineer too, which basically means I overthink everything.

Felipe is an excellent tutor. He realizes my my strengths and weaknesses and helps makes sure I understand everything. I like that he types out new vocabulary & phrases that I'm not familiar With so I can write them down with accurate spelling and accents. I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great tutor!

Acabo de completar un paquete de 5 clases con el y de verdad lo recomiendo, Es muy paciente, cada cosa que no entienda se enfoca en que lo aprenda. El maestro es divertido, hace que la clase no sea aburrida, también te da muchos tips para que puedas aprender mas fácilmente el tema y eso me agrada, asta al momento me agrada su metodo de enseñanza que tiene conmigo, siento que me está sirviendo bastante.

He has the ability to explain difficult concepts in a way that no one else can and uses ample examples until you have a firm grasp. If you’re really going to learn a language, you need people who really help you grow. Felipe is one of those people.
The guy has a real knack for enjoyable conversations with good back-and-forth equilibrium; we laugh a lot and talk about meaningful and curious things. He’s cheerful, easy to be around, and unafraid to catch my blunders (sometimes glaring, sometimes little things), but always with kindness and a recommendation on improving the way I’ve worded something. Since he has English down pat, he’s a good foil character for someone learning Spanish- he understands what it takes to really learn a language and has empathy for the process. It’s great to have someone who holds you to a higher standard because they know you can get there. He’s definitely worth getting to know.
