I'm Chris, and I work with ADULT PROFESSIONALS to improve how they communicate at work. I'm from the UK 🇬🇧 where I've worked in IT, been a HIRING MANAGER for 2 high performing sales teams, and even been a touring musician. I also spent 3 years teaching English in South Korea. These days I work with people to improve their CONFIDENCE, VOCABULARY, GRAMMAR, and FLUENCY online.

I am TEFL certified and I've been a full time English coach and tutor since April 2019, both online and in the classroom. I also spent 3 years in 🇰🇷 South Korea teaching hundreds of students in public schools.
I specialise in working with people to improve their professional communication skills. If English is important to your career then let's get started!

Within six months I lead this previously failing department to recognition as one of the top ranked in the region for most KPIs, including sales volume, profit and new account acquisition.

Chris is the best spoken English teacher I've ever had. We have completed a total of 45 speaking lessons. In this process, he provided me with a lot of help, including grammar correction, rich vocabulary replacement and authentic British expression. Although I have many mistakes repeatedly, he is still very patient to correct one by one, and through some scientific methods to let me gradually improve. After this period of practice, my IELTS speaking score has improved from 5.5 to 6.5, and I hope I can reach the level of 7 as soon as possible.

When I was searching for a teacher on Italki, I couldn't imagine that I would find a teacher who would be so organized, knowledgeable, and professional.
Here's what I really love about my lessons with Chris:
- Whenever I make a mistake in my speech or use a phrase that a native speaker wouldn't use, Chris immediately brings it to my attention and helps me find the correct phrase or a more native-like alternative.
- Chris uses many tools that make the lessons effective. We check how words and phrases are used in films and YouTube videos and how the popularity of a phrase has been changing over time. All of that creates the necessary context for me to remember new information better.
- I also appreciate the flexibility of our lessons. Even if I'm not prepared, we can change the plans on the go, and the quality and usefulness of the lesson are not affected by this.
I highly recommend Chris as a professional and inspiring teacher!

I have been searching for a good English teacher for quite a long time because I am a teacher myself so I have high expectations and demands. However, Chris fulfils all my requirements! He is accommodating and willing to answer all my questions. I appreciate that he corrects my mistakes and helps me improve my speaking skills and pronunciation. He is interested in my needs and wishes and he always offers many options for what we can do. His approach is very professional, he uses many applications, interesting websites etc. Last but not least he is always in a good mood and I feel that he enjoys our lessons as well as me! I always have fun and I learn a lot at the same time. If you want to have professional, tailor-made lessons go for Chris.
