저는 어렸을때부터 다양한 나라를 여행하면서 자라왔습니다.
이런 경험들이 저에게는 많은 사람들을 만나고 다양한 언어를 접하고 문화를 배울 수 있는 계기였습니다.
저의 이런 경험들을 여러분과 나누고 싶습니다.
언어를 배우는것은 또한 그 나라의 문화를 이해하는 것이라고 생각하는데요, 여러분이 한국의 문화에도 가까워질수 있도록 도와드릴게요!

🌸Teaching Experience🌸
-선교단체에서 아이들에게 영어를 가르친 경험이 있습니다. 새로운 언어를 처음 접하는 아이들이 쉽게 언어에 접근할수 있도록 돕는 것을 배웠습니다. I was teaching English to kids who were learning a new language and helped them to get close to the language easily.
-한국에서 중고등학교 영어학원에서 짧게 일하며 중학생들을 가르친 경험이 있습니다.
I've worked at the English academy and taught middle school students.
-지금은 현재 한국에서 영어회화를 성인을 상대로 가르치는 강사일을 하고 있습니다!
Currently I am teaching English conversation to adults.

-선교사님의 동시통역을 맡았던 경험이 있고, 다양한 행사에서 동시통역으로 봉사를 한 경험이 있습니다.

제 수업은 재미있고 유쾌한 수업입니다. 누구든지 부담없이 다가올수 있습니다.
저는 일상에서 자주 사용되는 dialogues를 준비할 예정입니다. 수업은 듣고 따라 말해보는 것을 위주로 진행될 예정입니다. 언어를 처음 시작할때를 기억해보면 우리는 어려운 문법을 먼저 배우지 않죠, 그 언어를 익숙하게 많이 듣고 따라하는 것을 시작으로 언어를 시작합니다. 제 수업도 이러한 방식으로 진행이 되면서 많은 사람들이 한국어를 좀 더 쉽고 재미있게 접할수 있도록 도와드리고 싶습니다. 여러분이 많이 듣고 말할수 있는 기회를 드리고자 합니다.

Been enjoying the lessons with Karen! I feel we get a lot of done in such a short time. I like having this tiny bit of chitchat during the lessons where I can listen (and even understand) Karen speaking in Korean and I can answer in Korean with best of my abilities. Other than that, the lessons are very structured and it's nice knowing what will happen and that every lesson is moving forward. Really enjoyable class-style and I believe it can evolve nicely with my skills.

Karen was a very wonderful and helpful tutor. She explained concepts in a very clear way. I enjoyed my lesson with her and would recommend her as a fantastic teacher to anybody who is interested in learning Korean language and understanding more of the culture.
