Hello, my name is Addie! I am a Master's Student at the Ohio State University, studying Foreign, Second, and Multilingual Language Education with a specialization in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). In 2022 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University, double majoring in World Language Education and Spanish and minoring in World Literatures. I am passionate about learning languages, meeting new people, and engaging in cultural discussion. I would love to help you practice your English!我的教學經歷
My teaching philosophy is centered around immersion and experiential learning. I believe that engaging in meaningful intercultural exchange is one of the best ways to grow in the target language. As a World Language Education and Spanish double major, I understand the nuances of language acquisition and I'm excited to help you navigate the English language!我的課程內容與教學風格
My lessons follow a flexible, conversational structure and will be personalized to suit your language goals. As we chat, I will help you refine your fluency by offering tips and corrections. When needed, we can supplement our discussions with explanations of grammatical and structural concepts. I understand that mistakes are an important part of the learning process and encourage my students to take risks and have fun with the language!我的教材

Addie is one of the best teachers I have found on italki. She is very easy to talk to and she is always in a good mood. I like how she always makes sure that I understand some word or phrase that she uses and I might not know. Thanks for being a wonderful teacher and person.

It was my first lesson with Addie, and it was more than 'just' awesome. We covered everything I had planned for the class. Addie knows everything about the American pronunciation, so I'm sure I've found the right person who will help me sound more natural. I'm super exctied about the journey I'm about to begin. Since last summer I've been studying English on iTalki, and Addie was my first teacher. I thought, I would practice speaking, learn to listening comprehension, and so on.
But I've learnt much more: about American culture, methods of learning (Addie likes to repeat: 'work smarter, not harder'), and, the most important, that lessons and study English can be exciting.
