My name is Travis. I'm 31 years old, from the United States, and I love sharing and learning languages. I've been sharing my native language, English, online with non-native speakers since I was 14. I love learning about different cultures and meeting new people. I'm currently learning Brazilian Portuguese here on italki as a student and thought it would be the perfect platform to meet people looking to improve their English skills.

I focus on real-world applications and want to help you build the skills to learn and use the language naturally. I believe the most important aspect of language is sharing ideas. My goal is to accommodate your needs as a learner and make our conversations something you can practice here and apply in your daily life. I want to create a space where you feel comfortable taking risks and playing with the language so you can build the confidence to express your ideas fully and honestly. I like to make learning a fun and natural process by getting to know your interests and goals, then shaping our conversation practice around expanding your vocabulary in areas you’re already familiar with. I'm flexible and can adapt to whatever suits your needs best—whether it's casual conversation to help you express yourself more naturally or refining your English for a professional setting.5.0
