There is a well-known quote “As many languages you know, that many times you are a human
being”. In Georgian it sounds like this “რამდენი ენაც იცი იმდენი ადამიანი ხარ“.
Based on this saying I'm 2 and a half person. Georgian is my native language and of course I know it, English may not be as fluent as desired but quite enough to communicate with you, and a little bit of Russian.
My name is Mari and I am here to help you to learn Georgian.
My husband and I have a tourist company, and for years I had the opportunity to communicate with foreigners from different countries. I enjoy the communication and sharing parts of our culture with people from all around the world.我的教學經歷
A few years ago a friend of mine advised me to try my luck as a Georgian teacher. Nowadays I think that it was one of the most interesting challenges in my life, before that I had never been a teacher.
And my adventure started … On this journey, I met a lot of interesting people from different countries.
In my lessons, every time I find something new and I am growing as a teacher. Fantastic feeling of pride and joy becomes more and more present when I see how my students enjoy the process of forming themselves into a Georgian speaking person, finding a new way to express themselves and that always gives me extra motivation to go on.我的課程內容與教學風格
There are three directions that I use:
I – Basic Georgian. Here you will learn the Georgian alphabet. Reading, writing, speaking, and also we will discuss Georgian grammar.
II – Essential phrases and dialogs. This direction is designed for tourists. I mean you will learn the words like this: hello - გამარჯობა, good bye - ნახვამდის, how are you - როგორ ხარ, nice to meet you...
III – Reading and speaking. It’s for students who already know Georgian and who want to improve their knowledge.
My classes are individual. So you can organize and tell me what you want, how you want to learn.

Today in the eleventh lesson we studied the possessive case (for both nouns and proper names), as well as counting up to 100. Georgian numbers are twenty-based (20+15, 3x20+17 etc), so it's quite challenging, but Mari explains the logic and linguistic rules behind. So it helps a lot! Madloba!!

Today we practiced more reading to consolidate my alphabet recognition and the fluency with simple copula sentences. Good revision! Look forward to more new grammar next time.
