I am a qualified Finnish language teacher living in Estonia. I hold a Master’s degree in Finnish language and have also studied pedagogy. I have over 5 years of experience teaching in various schools, and including online teaching, I have more than 8 years of total teaching experience.

In my work I strive to respect the values of self-authority and open communication. I am a strong proponent of positive reinforcement. Learning something new always involves a degree of vulnerability, and I believe that vulnerability should be met with respect, patience, and encouragement.
I enjoy having interactive lessons where we exchange ideas and thoughts, especially about languages. I believe in being open about my own shortcomings — every language has vast and unfamiliar areas, even for professionals.我的課程內容與教學風格
In my view, the key to learning a language is using it actively and consistently. Grammar should be seen as a tool for understanding the logic and structure of a language, rather than as a set of rigid rules. I like to emphasize the patterns and thinking behind grammar, helping learners see it as a support for communication, not a barrier.
While some methods claim to guarantee results within a fixed timeframe, I believe language learning is a deeply individual process. Research in pedagogy shows that people have different needs, motivations, and learning styles. No single method works for everyone. True progress comes through practice, personal engagement, and an adaptable approach.我的教材

Lauri did a great job today explaining participles. Although it still takes me a lot of effort to understand these structures, which are not all in my native German, and there are so many aspects to pay attention to, I see things much more clearly now. So a big thank you!
