Hello! My name is June. I am a Chinese tutor originally from China who has been living in Canada for the past two decades. I speak both Chinese and English and hold the Level 1-B Certificate of Mandarin Proficiency Test issued by the National Language Work Committee of China (level is equivalent to that of an announcer). Furthermore, I was awarded the honorary Certificate of Overseas Outstanding Teacher issued by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the State Council of China. In my free time, I like hiking, cooking, singing and traveling. 我的名字是June Zhao，是一位来自中国，现居住在加拿大的资深中文老师，会讲中英文两种语言，并持有中国国家语言文字工作委员会颁发的普通话水平测试一级乙等证书，普通话等级测试相当于播音员的水平；曾荣获由中国国务院侨务委员会颁发的海外优秀教师荣誉证书。我在业余时间喜欢远足，烹饪，唱歌及旅游。我在中國和加拿大擁有超過二十年的中文教學經驗。我負責為來自世界各地、從幼稚園到12年級／成人階段的學生，規劃引人入勝的課程教案、設計有趣且發人深省的作業，並制定具實質意義的評量。我的教學內容涵蓋拼音、漢字、詞彙、文法、會話、聽力、閱讀及寫作。同時，我也會根據學生的興趣，介紹傳統中國文化的各個面向。我在中國和加拿大擁有20多年的中文教學經驗，負責從幼稚園到12年級以及成人中文教育的所有課程規劃、授課、作業和評估。授課內容包括拼音、漢字、詞彙、語法、對話、聽力、閱讀和寫作等。同時，我還會根據學生的興趣介紹一些中國的傳統文化。 My classroom atmosphere is both engaging and relaxing, so as to quickly and effectively improve the Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills of students. I select suitable teaching materials according to the students' individual situation and make full use of various multimedia tools to design the courses. I then add some fun to the teaching process, such as introducing and reviewing Chinese Pinyin through interactive activities and games, incorporating Chinese music and tongue twisters into character learning...

Junying (June) Zhao is an excellent teacher. Her lesson was challenging, interesting and enjoyable. During the lesson she introduced me to a plethora of new vocabulary, helped me with the proper enunciation of words, and discussed myriad topics with me. I am looking forward to continuing my studies with her again in the immediate future.
