A native speaker of Korean, currently living in Singapore. Back in Korea, I started my teaching career in high school as a certified public teacher. After getting married, I moved to Hong Kong in 2016.
Moving to HK was an unexpected turning point in my life: I've never known I would live in a foreign country! As a foreigner, but as a Korean teacher, I fortunately continue my teaching career in HK.
(After spending more than seven years in Hong Kong, I moved to Singapore in July 2023.)我的教學經歷
1. Studied language and education in university:
majored in language and education, and studied further about language teaching for three years to get a government-issued teacher certificate (succeeded in getting the certificate in 2011).
2. Started my teaching career in high school:
for four years, I taught high school students (aged 16-18) in Gyeonggi province, Korea. Back then, I was a quite young and passionate teacher.
3. As a Korean teacher in HK and SG:
with great chances, I happened to meet various students who wanted to learn Korean for various reasons. From teaching Korean alphabet to discussing economic issues in Korean, I taught lots of students with various Korean levels. 我的課程內容與教學風格

: not in a rush, wait for students' to follow, remember or understand
2. MAKING EASIER
: explaining complicated language system in simple concepts is not an easy job, but it is kind of my talent
3. BEING PROFESSIONAL
: spending precious lesson time with all chit-chat: that is not my type我的教材

Jessie Kim is a great teacher, very attentive, patient and animated. She is also flexible in her teaching style: as happy to lead as well as follow the flow if you want to ask questions and digress a little, or dive into more detail about something.
Highly recommend Jessie Kim, she can customise the lessons to suit whatever your needs may be.

Jessie is an excellent teacher because she makes sure to put the student at the center of their learning. I asked her to go at a slower pace because it helps me remember the language more, and she did exactly that. It felt like she really wants me to learn the language, not just finish the book. As soon as the lesson was over, I immediately booked another one. I'm looking forward to it!

Fun and easy going introduction class! Jessie Kim sat back just the right amount to let me work stuff out on my own, but assisted me when I really needed it.
