I'm Stephy, 32, native swede, (clear accent) with big passion to teach and guide you on your swedish journey
✅ I started teaching over 14 years ago. I used to work as a substitute teacher in Sweden in schools for kids age 6-16, teaching Swedish, but have for over 5 years worked online, teaching adults (and kids) instead and love spreading my native language forward and helping others grow 😀I am myself learning Portuguese at intermediate level so I understand what it is like to learn a new language.
I am a patient, positive and encouraging teacher that does my best making my students feel safe to make mistakes but also to shine of course ✨ I encourage as much conversation as possible in the class and I often ask a lot of questions.
I am open minded to different ways of teaching but I also have my own way of doing it. I create my own useful documents and use well chosen material during class and that I will send you after class and share on google documents.
📕I customize the classes for each student's goal. I will take into consideration your wishes and I'm also able to guide you by what I sense you need in order to reach your goals.
🤝Together we practice conversation, listening, grammar. reading, writing, basic slang and vocabulary. I'm happy to offer and encourage homework in between the classes to optimize learning.

I have been studying with Stephanie for over a year and have greatly improved my Swedish through our lessons. She does a great job highlighting areas where improvement is needed and guides study to those areas with an emphasis on both vocabulary and grammar in service of clearer communication. Whether you're interested in starting Swedish or know some of the language and would like to continue improving, I definitely recommend lessons with Stephanie!

I have had 13 lessons with Stefanie up till now. I have learned a lot from her. She uses a Google docs document where she writes the words you use while speaking with her. This list has grown quite large. After every lesson she will give some homework for next time. After all these lessons I believe Stefanie is a real good teacher (she used to be one in Sweden too, which is a plus).

Great patience with my six and eight year old as they attempted a video lesson. My kids had fun and Stephanie gave us some good suggestions for furthering their Swedish outside of a lesson.
