Yayoi

Yayoi-sensei is kind and engaging. She encouraged my speaking, giving many correction and pointed out my strengths. Thank you so much for the fun talk today, Sensei!

Since I’ve being meeting with Yayoi sensei, I feel I’m learning faster. I’ve been self studying for a year. Most recently I’ve been using ChatGPT, Google Translate, DeepL, Genki 3rd addition, and Anki decks to progress my learning. One of my struggles was when the translators couldn’t understand me, I wasn’t sure how I was saying it wrong. With Yayoi’s help I’ve been able to improve my pronunciation, which has improved my confidence in speaking Japanese. Her approach is so supportive that I’m getting more comfortable making mistakes and realizing that I’ve learned a lot over the last year. I know I have a long way to go. The journey has become more enjoyable with Yayoi’s guidance.

I take some online classes through a school in Japan, in addition to here on Italki. It can be difficult for me to get my head around the homework at times. Yayoi Sensei really helps me to understand. I have to go slow and she is very patient with my learning speed. I am very grateful for her excellent help. I would recommend anyone looking for a tutor to give her classes a try.

Yayoi-sensei is the best! Her lessons are always very informative, and she is always ready to answer any and all questions. Yayoi-sensei is very accommodating and always willing to try out new, fun ways to learn. I have had so much fun learning Japanese through our conversational classes, as well as our grammar lessons. I highly recommend Yayoi-sensei for anyone looking for a fun, engaging, and patient Japanese teacher. I am very much looking forward to our future lessons!
