Hello! My name is Maggie. I’m from the United States, but I live in Portugal now. I have also lived in Spain and England. I graduated with a degree in Religion and minors in Art History and Spanish. For most of my career, I have worked as an ESL teacher, both in schools and online, but I also have experience in sales, customer service, real estate and management. I have also studied to be a professional English-Spanish translator and completed Cuisine, Pastry, Nutrition and Restaurant Management diplomas at Le Cordon Bleu in London.
I am a native English speaker and bilingual in Spanish. I have an upper intermediate level of Portuguese and continue my studies to become an advanced speaker.我的教學經歷
I have been TEFL certified for over 17 years and also hold a CertTESOL from Trinity. I have been working as an ESL teacher for over 17 years, working with people of all ages from all over the world. In our trial class, I will complete a needs analysis to make sure that our classes meet your needs as a student.
I have experience teaching General English, Business English, Interview Preparation (for university studies and work), and Exam Preparation. I’ve been teaching online since 2020, so I have over four years of experience working with students solely online. I have amassed a wealth of resources to best meet my students’ needs.我的課程內容與教學風格
My teaching style is patient and kind. I have vast knowledge of English grammar and can clearly explain even advanced grammar topics. Due to my experience, I can easily tailor a course that will be appropriate for your needs as a student. We will do a needs analysis together so I can learn your preferred learning methods and styles, while ensuring a balance between grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. We can also work on writing if needed. I like to laugh in class and always hope to make my students comfortable and even look forward to our classes.
