Bonjour! I’m Vanessa 👋
I’m a French-Canadian from Montreal. I’m passionate about travel and understanding people from different backgrounds and talking about life, culture, self-growth and everyday topics, from light chats to deeper discussions.
• I'm Fluent in French & English (and I understand Spanish)
• I'm a certified special-needs educator (welcome to all neurodivergent students)
My goal is simple: create a space where conversations feel natural and comfortable. Help you practice expressing yourself and grow with confidence, all in a relaxed, judgment-free space.

I’m a certified special-needs educator with a human, student-centered approach. I value real connection and create a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable learning.
I specialize in Québécois French, including local expressions and cultural nuances. I’m also comfortable with European French and can explain the main differences when needed.
I adapt my teaching to your pace, personality, and needs, whether you’re shy, busy, or neurodivergent.
My focus is on practical conversations. It’s not about being perfect, but about feeling comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.

I focus on conversation-based lessons adapted to your needs and goals. There’s no strict plan or preparation required. I guide you, suggest activities when useful, and help you feel comfortable making mistakes and building confidence while speaking French.
I sometimes introduce different types of activities to vary topics and make lessons more engaging, while keeping the focus on practicing naturally and developing real communication skills. My priority is that you feel supported, confident, and enjoy every lesson.

Vanessa is a genuinely fantastic French instructor. We've been working together for a month or two now and I look forward to our conversations every week; they are always intriguing, varied, and fun. Her language is perfectly graded for my level and she knows when to support me when I falter. I feel like my French gets better with every session.
