Hello! I am Teacher Ruth.
I am deeply passionate about teaching, and I find immense joy in helping my students achieve their goals in learning English, Swahili or Kikuyu. With 13 years of experience in education, I specialize in providing personalized learning experiences that cater to each student's unique needs and learning style. I teach kids too!(3-15 years -old). My goal is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to instill confidence and a love for learning. I offer tutoring services in English and Swahili languages, interviews and exam preparations. My teaching style is straightforward and highly interactive, with a focus on the direct method where both teacher and student are fully engaged. Most importantly, my approach is student-centered, designed to help you build your vocabulary and master sentence structures in English or Swahili.

I’ll guide you through the simple rules of English or Swahili, empowering you to become an excellent speaker. Assignments are a key part of our lessons, as they allow me to assess your understanding and provide support where needed.

After taking lessons with Teacher Ruth for just a few months, my Swahili has gone from absolute zero to understanding the principles of grammar and sentence structure, as well as a significant amount of vocabulary. I'm able to form sentences on my own and we're now readily progressing through conversational skills. It feels amazing to be able to make so much progress in such a short period of time. Mwalimu Ruth is great at finding your level and adding/reviewing skills where needed. She personalizes lessons and helps in the areas you don’t feel as confident in. Meeting with her multiple times a week has definitely increased my confidence so far
