My name is Élise, I come from a very small town in France named Poitiers. Learning languages is a passion of mine, I currently speak 4 and I am learning Italian as well.
Sometime between 3 and 4 is when it all became clear for me.
I have a dog named Sibyl that sleep most of the time, the rest of the time she asks for food or we go on walks. You might occasionally see her during my classes.
My classes always happen in the afternoon (Lisbon time) because in 2021 I made the decision to go back to school, so my mornings are dedicated to that.我的教學經歷
As a teacher I use the same techniques I use when I want to learn a language. There is 1 secret about learning a language : practice, practice, practice.
I know it's nothing new but it works. During our first classes I will help you set up a daily home practice focused on the 4 skills of a language: reading/ writing/ listening/ speaking.
I will also share with you a file that I keep updated regularly about French movies, TV shows, series, documentaries, podcasts to watch. Learning a language is also learning about the culture.
I am pretty laid back and rather talkative but I will make sure you have results and that the practice is enjoyable for you.我的課程內容與教學風格
Anyone learning French or any other language have a similar objective : being able to understand a francophone and express themself with ease. It is not everyone's objective to become a linguist.
To that effect we do need to talk about the G-word. Grammar, yes grammar is important for you to understand on a surface level, what is most important though is for you to apply it correctly and that will happen with practice and correction from me.
My beginner- intermediate classes are split in 2 parts: technique and practice. Each class we will practice French without fail
For conversation classes, prior to the class I will send some content and then we will talk about it.我的教材

Elise est vraiment géniale. Même si moi je n'ai vraiment pas de vie intéressante, elle a toujours trouvé un moyen de me faire parler - c'est ce dont j'avais besoin.

This was a very good introduction. I will def be continuing my French learning with Elise. I felt really comfortable speaking and being corrected and it was nice that she casually assessed my ability to understand and speak while making it stress-free through general conversation to come up with a plan for me to improve through future classes.
