Choosing a teacher can feel overwhelming, so here’s a little about me and how I can support your learning:)
I’m a native Japanese speaker from Kobe, now based in the UK. As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges of mastering a new language. I provide clear explanations so you understand both how to use Japanese and the logic behind it.
With over 5 years of teaching experience and 1000+ lessons delivered, I help students gain confidence through practical conversation in a supportive environment. My lessons are tailored to your level and goals.
Beginners: I help you build a strong foundation using my original materials based on Genki and Irodori.
● Reading Hiragana and Katakana
● Self-introduction

Intermediate: Lessons can be split into conversation and grammar practice.

I just finished my first conversation lesson with Eri Sensei. I also did a trial lesson with her before this. Both lessons were excellent. Eri Sensei is very patient, understanding and kind. She is also very detail-oriented and diligent. She clarified all my doubts and made sure I understood everything. After the end of each lesson, she also sends a doc which has all sentences we discussed which is a big plus. Looking forward to more lessons with Eri Sensei.

Eri-sensei is always very kind and patient in her lessons and will guide you to an answer instead of telling you it outright, which is always a great and rewarding way to learn. She writes plenty of notes to study during the lesson which I always really appreciate and look back on. She is very encouraging and never makes me feel nervous to use the language or back away from challenges I may face in Japanese. Please, book her lessons!!
