안녕하세요 저는 한국에서 태어나 회사를 다니다가 3년 전 부터 남미에 살면서 한국어를 가르치고 있는 Vincent 라고 합니다.
Hello, my name is Vincent. I was born and raised in South Korea. I have worked in Korea for 3 years and now I'm living in Latin America. I speak Korean, English and currently I'm practicing Spanish.
지금은 한국에 돌아와서 교육 앱 회사에서 일을 하고 있어요.

여행을 하다가 한국을 좋아하는 많은 친구들을 만나 한국어를 조금씩 알려주게 된 것이 시작이었습니다. 3년 전 남미에 정착하게 되면서 조금 더 많은 친구들에게 한국어를 가르치고자 카페에서 일주일에 한 회의 그룹 수업과 개인 수업을 진행했습니다.
I have met a lot of friends who love Korean culture during travelling. After I settled here in Latin America, I wanted to help them out with language skills, so I had 1 group class once a week, and several private classes for 3 years. Currently it is hard to make group classes because of this situation, so I am willing to teach students online.我的課程內容與教學風格
언어를 학습할 때 가장 중요한 점은 흥미를 잃지 않는 것입니다. 저는 학생을 만나면 항상 처음에 그 학생의 취미나 기호를 묻는 편입니다. 학생 개개인의 취향에 따라 그에 맞는 수업 자료를 선정합니다. 드라마, 영화, 케이팝, 유튜브가 될 수도 있고 웹툰이나 게임이 될 수도 있습니다. 항상 학생들로 하여금 공부하고 있다 라는 기분이 아닌 재밌는 취미 활동을 하고 있다고 느끼게 해주는 것이 제 강의에서 가장 중요합니다.
I believe the most important thing in language learning is not losing interest. That’s why I always start by getting to know my students—their hobbies, tastes, and what excites them. Based on that, I tailor the class materials to match their interests. It might be a drama, movie, K-pop song, YouTube video, webtoon, or even a game. My goal is to make sure students never feel like they’re "studying", but rather enjoying a fun and engaging hobby.我的教材

Vincent was so patient as I practice reading the Korean alphabet. I get confused with some vowel sounds, but he gave me lots of examples and tips. I always enjoy our class.

This was my first lesson on italki and I was a bit nervous at first, but Vincent was very kind and I soon lost my nervousness. He is definitelly a great teacher and I recommend him to anyone learning Korean.

Vincent was an amazing teacher from day 1. He provided an introduction to the written language using a symbolic system that differed from all the metaphor systems I see online. It helped me internalize the alphabet a bit faster. He walks through a book which is freely available online, but provides valuable colloquial insight and pronunciation guidance. He was also a nice guy and fun to talk to! I'm happily exploring Korea now and using our lessons on the day-to-day.

Vincent creates an excellent learning environment that is relaxed but very informative. He explains very well but also gives perfect visual aids to help explain the information easier for visual learners like myself. I already booked a learning package and am looking forward to the next lesson.
