Hi! I’m Teacher Shannon, a lively native English speaker from South Africa (and fluent in Afrikaans too!). With 2 years of online teaching experience and a TEFL certification, I specialize in fun, interactive lessons—think puppets, props, and lively chats! My call center background sharpened my patience and communication skills, but my real joy is helping students boost confidence in pronunciation and everyday English. I take a patient and caring approach to teaching, with a strong focus on pronunciation and clear, supportive guidance. I recognize that every learner is unique, so I tailor my methods to meet individual needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
My primary focus areas include pronunciation, vocabulary development, English fundamentals, and conversational skills. For younger students and beginners, I incorporate engaging tools such as props and puppets to create a fun and interactive learning environment. I encourage students to actively contribute by voicing their thoughts, asking questions, and engaging fully in discussions, regardless of their confidence levels.
