Hi, my name is Büşra. I’m a teacher of Turkish and English. Outside of work, I enjoy trying new hobbies and meeting people through them. I also love photography. I’ve travelled to 12 countries in Europe and captured many moments along the way. Recently, I spent a year in Finland for a youth project, which was an amazing experience.
I have been teaching Turkish on Italki since May 2021. I first earned my TÖMER certificate and later completed my non-thesis Master’s degree in Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language. Teaching students from many different backgrounds has helped me improve my methods and develop my own approach.
1. I focus on your reason for learning Turkish and create a practical plan for you. This way, you learn the things you really need.
2. The lesson types and after-lesson assignments depend on your needs, so everything is adjusted for you.
3. If you start learning Turkish from scratch, you will begin speaking from day one. We use everything we learn step by step, word by word.
Turkish is a rule-based language with few exceptions, so my first goal is to help you understand its logic. Once you see how it works, the rest is simply putting the missing pieces of the puzzle together.

Büşra is hands down one of the best tutors I have ever had of any language. Her lessons are fun and interactive, and there is not any pressure if you do not know something. She really solidifies your knowledge and it doesn't feel that you are just being thrown grammar rules or words. If you are learning Turkish, definitely take a lesson with Büşra!!

Büşra Hocayla speaking çalışıyoruz ve daha iyiye gittiğini hissediyorum. Pratikleşmemde yardımcı oluyor ve ders işleyişi çok verimli. Ben A1 olmama rağmen benimle derslere devam ediyor ve bana uygun program hazırlıyor. Tavsiye ediyorum.

Just finished learning about the dilek şart kipi grammar. It was a lot of info to take in at first, but with Büşra's patience and detailed explanation, I was able to to get the hang of it! I also loved how she gave me different variations of how it is used in daily life- something that text books and other online resources tend to omit. It's safe to say that I'll be prepared for real life situations in Turkey😃
