I started teaching on italki because I wanted to teach Japanese
not only to friends, but to many more people around the world.
Learning a language is not just about memorizing words or characters.
I believe that language is like a window—
through it, we can see culture, values, and ways of thinking.
I previously worked at a language school in Canada for 3 years,
teaching learners from many different countries.

My lessons focus on conversation.
I tailor each lesson to your level and goals.
For beginners, I explain slowly and clearly, using English when needed.
For intermediate and advanced learners,
we practice natural expressions and Japanese used in real situations.

I've really enjoyed my lessons with Kousuke-sensei. It's great to get real-time conversation practice in a casual environment. He's very patient and friendly, and also provides notes at the end of each lesson, which have really helped me learn new vocabulary and get more comfortable with reading and writing.
