Hello! I'm Randal, a native English speaker from the USA and a TEFL-certified instructor currently based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have been helping people improve their English skills on iTalki since 2021. My approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, whether it's improving conversation fluency, mastering grammar rules, expanding vocabulary, or refining pronunciation, intonation, and diction.

I initially struggled with learning foreign languages because many teachers told me it wasn't my strength. I became preoccupied with grammatical rules and memorizing vocabulary out of context, which made me lose sight of the true purpose of learning a language: to communicate with others. However, when I shifted my focus to speaking more, learning words and rules in context, using real world examples and most importantly HAVING FUN, things changed and I began to improve. Since then, I have successfully helped many students with similar challenges. My classes are very relaxed. I want students to feel comfortable and able to speak with ease, without worrying about every little detail or how they sound. I believe it's crucial to let go of that fear and just speak. Initially, I like to get to know my students and understand the areas they want to improve. I offer a range of options, from "free talk" to various structured topics and materials. Some of the resources I use include video shorts, news articles, games, short stories, and more. Most importantly, we talk, laugh, and have meaningful conversations that build your confidence and understanding of the English language.我的教材

Randal is kind, nice, interactive and great! He encouraged me to speak more by asking additional questions and he motivated me to relax and enjoy the conversation. He gave me feedback on my English such as grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, etc. He pointed out my mistakes and gave me pieces of advice on how to fix them. He also asked me to just relax and enjoy! It was nice to meet him because I felt comfortable speaking with him and he was interested to learn more about me and my life. It was a great conversation with him for today and I hope to see him again soon!
